Ponder The Path

Seeking to make Aromatherapy approachable!

Proverbs 4:26-27

"Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil."

These verses remind us of the importance of walking through life with intention and purpose. We are called to ponder things through the lens of God's Word and to deliberately choose to remove our feet from evil. It does not happen by accident, but through purposeful and intentional living for the Lord.

This is the heart behind The Pondered Path Aromatherapy—approaching life, business, and wellness with thoughtfulness and a desire to honor the Lord.

At The Pondered Path Aromatherapy, we strive to provide education and resources that make aromatherapy feel approachable—not overwhelming. Whether you’re just beginning or have been using essential oils for years, our goal is to help you feel confident and informed.

Essential oils are concentrated aromatic compounds that plants naturally produce and are extracted from a variety of plant parts—such as leaves, flowers, bark, roots, rinds, seeds, and more. While the science behind them can be complex, we are committed to offering clear, practical guidance so you can use these natural tools safely, intentionally, and with understanding.

What do we mean by making aromatherapy approachable?

1) Financially— Pure, high quality Essential oils are costly and that cost can add up fast! We want to offer our customers the best prices that we reasonably can as a company. It takes a vast amount of plant material to make a much smaller amount of essential oils. Accounting to Modern Essentials: A contemporary Guide to the Therapeutic Use of Essential Oils, 6th edition ,by Aroma Tools it takes 3 TONS of plant material in order to for 1 pound of Melissa essential oil to be produced (page 6). When it comes to essential oils, the plants used to produce them come from locations all over the world. Some plants can only be grown in one part of the world and access to them is regulated by local governments to ensure sustainability and availability for future generations. One of our goals is to treat our customers in the way that we would want to be treated ourselves, and this is included in the pricing of our products. We want customers to feel confident in the value that they are getting when they choose to purchase from us. We know that times are tough. If you choose to spend your hard-earned money with us, we are appreciative of that and never want to take it for granted.

2) Educationally— We hope to help customers understand how to use these oils safely and confidently through simplistic and encouraging educational resources. Even though the chemistry may be a bit complex, we want to make the application easier for you. I became a Certified Professional Aromatherapist because I could not find the information that I was seeking. I want to change this. I hated buying multiple books and doing exhaustive internet searches trying to piece quality information together in order to use an oil. We hope to offer our customers labels and resources that leave them feeling knowledgable instead of disappointed.

3) Biblically— We recognize that the Aromatherapy industry is one that is steeped in unbiblical ideologies. We are taking a bold stance against those ideologies, understanding that there are many who have struggled to find a company that they feel comfortable and confident purchasing from because of religious convictions and Biblical standards. I have personally walked away from many companies, even some who claim to be Christian," because of the umbilical ideals that are promoted and represented within. We believe that essential oils are tools that can assist our bodies towards wellness, that they are provided by God in the plants that He has created, and that they can be used as such without compromising biblical principles and beliefs. There will always be those who see to take the things of God and to use them for purposes outside of God— essential oils are no different.
